About Me
Hi, I'm Lorna, and I'm so happy you are considering me as your potential dog groomer; Barks & Bubbles was established in 2019 in the beautiful village of Brewood in South Staffordshire.
I have always loved dogs; my first family dogs were rescue dogs called Sally and Izzy, they were my best friends, and I spent many hours talking to them and feeding them my veggies as they sat patiently under the dinner table.
I decided in 2014 that I wanted to leave my role as a retail manager to work with dogs, I set up a small dog walking business which I loved, but id always wanted to retrain as a dog groomer.
I undertook the relevant training and jumped in at the deep end, opening my converted garage in the spring of 2019.
I took my education a step further by undertaking a Diploma in Holistic Dog Grooming, for which I received a Distinction.
I am also an Approved Professional Groomer with Taking The Grrr Out Of Grooming Dogs.
Now I share my life with two beautiful dogs, Lupin the Border Collie and Jess, the Lab Collie cross; the more I learn about dogs, the more I can listen and bond with my own.
I pride myself on running a low-stress salon; I will never force a dog to be groomed; their emotional well-being will always come first.
